Renovations/Additions permit applications require substantial information in order to be processed and the checklist below identifies typical items that need to be supplied.

If you are not designing your addition and/or renovation you may require the services of a qualified designer.  Items that must be engineered will need to be certified by a licensed Professional Engineer.

All work on the drawings must conform to the standards set out in the Ontario Building Code, applicable municipal By-laws and other applicable laws.

Pre-consultation is highly recommended and you are urged to contact the Building Inspector early in your design process.  Appointments are highly recommended and calls can be directed to 613-386-7351 Ext. 127 and 128.
