The Building Department is responsible for ensuring a high degree of safety in buildings being constructed through the issuance of building permits and regular inspections. Building Department staff are responsible for reviewing construction plans and progress for compliance with the relevant sections of the Building Code and for the administration and enforcement of certain municipal by-laws.
Loyalist Township has building permit information available at the Municipal Offices, 263 Main Street, Odessa. Appointments are not necessary to pick up or drop off a building permit application. Permit packages are available at the front desk, on our website, or can be emailed upon request.
