Farm Buildings and Structures
Building a farm building or structure
The construction of farm buildings and structures can vary substantially.
If the purpose of the structure is to house livestock or manure, you will likely need to supply proof of completion of a Nutrient Management strategy or plan from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
All buildings or structures to home livestock and manure storage must also meet the minimum distance separation formula calculation (MDSII). We recommend that you contact our building division early in your design process. For an appointment with an inspector, please email the Development Analyst or call 613-386-7351, ext. 128.
