Road Reconstruction on Highway 33 at Amherst Island Ferry Docks - Millhaven begins August 20
Road Reconstruction & Paving on Highway 33 at Amherst Island Ferry Docks - Millhaven starting Monday, August 20, 2018
Please be advised that Highway 33 reconstruction work associated with the Amherst Island Ferry Docks Improvements project is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 20, 2018 and should be completed by approximately September 22, 2018. Timing of all work is weather dependent.
Construction work will be undertaken along Highway 33 around the entrance to the Millhaven terminal. The work is necessary to allow for resurfacing of the road and minor lane widening to accommodate the extension of the westbound left-turn lane into the ferry terminal area.
What does this mean for you?
You can expect periodic delays and lane closures along Highway 33 around the entrance to the Millhaven terminal between 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday to accommodate the road work.
Typical delays are between 5 and 10 minutes but at times could be as long as 15 minutes. Please allow additional time to access the Millhaven ferry dock marshalling area during this period of time.
Please watch for and follow the instruction of
on-site personnel as they direct traffic.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to complete the new Amherst Island ferry docks.
