Loyalist Township maintains all County and Township roads in accordance with the Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways. (Ontario Regulation 239/02, as amended, unofficial copy). The standards define the regulatory requirements for maintenance activities including routine patrolling, pothole, shoulder drop-off, crack, streetlight, signage repair/replacement and include standards for winter control (ice and snow accumulation). A list of Loyalist Township roads and their classifications can be reviewed.
There are two Provincial highways in Loyalist Township, Highway 401 and Highway 33 (Bath Road). These roads are administered by the Ministry of Transportation and are currently maintained by High Road Maintenance, with the exception of Main Street, Bath (within the village).
