There are two water distribution systems in Loyalist Township.
The Bath Water Distribution System delivers water from the Bath Water Treatment Plant to the village of Bath, and to the Millhaven and Bath Institutions.
The Fairfield Water Distribution System delivers water from Fairfield Water Treatment Plant in Amherstview, to the community of Amherstview and the village of Odessa.
The Bath and Fairfield drinking water systems are managed and operated in accordance with the provincial Drinking Water Quality Management Standard. As per the Quality Management System policy approved by Council, Loyalist Township is committed to comply with all applicable legislative and regulatory requirements, as it relates to drinking water quality, to supply our customers with safe drinking water and is committed to the maintenance and continual improvement of the QMS.
The use of municipally-treated water and connection to the water system in Loyalist Township is governed by By-law 2011-099, "The Water Works By-law".
