Regular charges apply for other material not defined as “Large Item”.

Please note that there will no longer be curbside pickup of “Large Items” throughout Loyalist Township; however, there are now more dates for free large item drop off at the Violet Landfill site.

Items that can fit into a regular size garbage bag are NOT classified as large items and regular charges will apply to these items. Tires are also excluded from free large item drop off and charges will apply for disposal. Please click here to see what types of materials are accepted on Large Item Disposal Days.

In order to be eligible to participate in the “Free – Large Item Disposal Days”, residents who use contractors or anyone other than themselves to transport their Large Items must contact the Township Office at (613) 386-7351, Extension 116, to register in advance, as proof of residency is required at the landfill.
