Recycling

Recycling is currently collected on Monday in all of Loyalist Township excluding Amherst Island residents who must take their recyclables to the landfill site.

Please Note: Recycling must be at the curb by 7:00 a.m. and will normally be collected by 5:00 p.m.

If you have a recycling issue, please contact BFI at (613) 546-5012.  For collection times and information, please contact the Township at ext. 116.

Loyalist Township is continuing its partnership with the City of Kingston for its recycling collection service.  This includes alternating weeks when various products are collected (i.e. papers and cardboard one week, plastics and cans the following).

Residents may dispose of their own recyclables at the Recycling Centre at 196 Lappan’s Lane, at no charge, Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

By separating your recyclable material properly, you’ll be helping us ensure more efficient service delivery. This means reduced costs for everyone since your Blue Box collection driver won’t be spending extra time sorting material at curbside. Check out the Recycling Exchange website at www.recyclexchange.com for more tips. Please Note: If your recycling day falls on a holiday, it will be collected the next business day, unless otherwise advertised.
