Loyalist Township maintains all County and Township roads in accordance with the Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways. (Ontario Regulation 239/02, as amended, unofficial copy). The standards define the regulatory requirements for maintenance activities including routine patrolling, pothole, shoulder drop-off, crack, streetlight, signage repair/replacement and include standards for winter control (ice and snow accumulation).
