The Township has contracted the Frontenac Municipal Law Enforcement employees as Dog Control Officers for the municipality.  The officers will be actively patrolling the municipality for by-law infractions.

Some Requirements Under the Dog Control By-law are:

The Dog Control By-law provides that any owner of a dog which defecates in a public place must clean up the droppings and dispose of it in a sanitary manner.  There is a $75.00 fine for this offence.

Dogs must also not be permitted to run at large at any time and must be on a leash when in a public park.  There is a $75.00 fine for this offence.
