The Building Department is responsible for ensuring a high degree of safety in buildings being constructed through the issuance of building permits and regular inspections. Building department staff are responsible for reviewing construction plans and progress for compliance with the relevant sections of the Building Code and for the administration and enforcement of certain municipal By-laws.

Loyalist Township has building permit information available at the Municipal Offices, 263 Main Street, Odessa and in Stella.  Appointments are not necessary to pick up or drop off a building permit application, but if you wish to meet with a Building Inspector an appointment is required.  Permit packages can also be mailed, e-mailed or faxed by request.

The Township's Building Inspectors are Kevin Peters, Randy Sangster and Scott Fellows and they can be contacted at 613-386-7351, extensions, 127, 125 and 128, respectively.
