Infrastructure Upgrades - Chesterfield, Tareyton, and Bakers Lane
We have begun working on proposed infrastructure upgrades on Chesterfield Drive, Tareyton Road, and Bakers Lane. We have hired a consultant to do investigate the site for design and project planning purposes. You may notice drilling equipment, survey crews, and locate companies in the area as part of this work. The construction part of the project will not happen in 2020.
Underground services on your propertyTo help us plan, and to protect your property, we ask that if you live on Chesterfield, Tareyton, or Bakers, you please provide us with information about any private underground services you may have on your property. Examples include a continuous operating sump pump, emergency sump pump, or any other drainage line that may or may not be disturbed during construction (i.e. a pipe that drains into the existing roadway ditch). We want to be sure that we don’t damage or block your services during construction, but can only work with you to protect the infrastructure if we know where it is.
We are also asking for feedback about any other concerns with the water or sewer infrastructure or drainage in your neighbourhood. Examples of the type of information we are interested in include property drainage issues, frequent basement flooding, coloured water concerns, sewer backups, or low water pressure. The project is in the design phase and any information you can provide will help us design solutions for these types of issues.
The project scope has not yet been finalized. After we establish what work is necessary and prepare an early design, we will invite you to a project open house to review the proposed project plans, ask questions, and give us your feedback.
If you have any information to share with us, you can do it by emailing the Project Supervisor, who is also available to meet at your residence to discuss any concerns you may have in person.
