What should I be doing to protect myself, my family, and the community?

To reduce exposure to and transmission of a range of illnesses, including the common cold, influenza and COVID-19, KFL&A residents should follow usual health precautions such as:

If you are feeling ill, call your health care provider in advance to let them know of your symptoms and any recent travel to COVID-19 affected areas. After hours, or if you do not have a health care provider call Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000. Do not go to your health care provider or a walk-in clinic without calling ahead.

Where can I find up to date information?

How does the Township prepare for emergency situations?

Loyalist Township has an Emergency Plan that has been developed to reflect the public safety requirements of our community. Township senior staff participate in annual exercises designed to familiarize them with their responsibilities and obligations in the event of an emergency affecting Loyalist Township residents and/or resources.

The Emergency Control Group is meeting daily to review and update the recommendation for our facilities and staff.
